Kerskind (Translated – Christmas Child) is a South African singer & songwriter with a story to tell. On 25 December 1991 just past midnight a baby boy was born in Pretoria. As the First Christmas baby in 1991 he was promised to have a bright future.
Kerskind started singing at the age of 5 and has never looked back, continuously crafting his vocals to ensure an excellent experience for his audience. As a young child he featured on a
Huisgenoot children’s CD with fellow singer Charlize Berg, and has starred in numerous theatre productions around the country.
Kerskind has a fresh pop-rock sound with country and gospel influences. His music is hopeful, fun and energetic, and his strong and lively vocals are sure to lift the mood. With a Theology degree and mission outreach background, his heart for the nation and desire for change is felt in his music.
He recently released his debut single “Turn It All Around” that is sure to hit all the “feel-good-Friday” playlists. This single was released on 1 September 2023 to usher in a new season of hope. He is currently working on his debut album. This skilled singer/songwriter sings both in English and Afrikaans, entertaining a broad audience.
