More about

Rian Kukard born 1985 started playing in his fathers band at the age of 5 in Standerton.  Thereafter he laid down his guitar.  When he was 18 he played the drums in a “Boere Band” and for the following 12 years he played in the same band, of which he later became the lead singer and guitar player.  By this type the band were converted to a Dance Band.

2016 stood out as it was the year Rian recorded his debut album titled “Don’t Rock the Jukebox”.  Rian made the choice to turn his music into a career and decided to move to Gauteng in 2017 to enable him to do so.  This seem to work brilliantly as Rian won a SACMAF aware as “Best Newcomer in the SA Country Industry.

Rian recorded a new album three years in a row, of which three of these songs, was written by Rian.  The albums were recorded by Kobus Geldenhuys of Sound Blaster Studio’s.

Music is in his blood, his passion is to entertain people.  Rian also appeared on the Facebook program (Episode 6) “Ons praat country”, where he performed live with the Ernie Bates Band, where they recorded his performance of the song “One more shot” live on stage.
